Creating a Test Campaign

The following steps set up a campaign in Softdial Campaign Manager™ with the bare minimum configuration to be able to start.

1. Follow the initial instructions for Creating a Campaign.

For a test campaign, all of the configuration tabs can be ignored, except the Database Input tab:

2. Click on the Database Input tab
3. In the Data source parameters section, Name drop-down, select Mobiles . This is the demonstration data source with 5000 dummy numbers installed with Softdial Contact Center™ (SCC). No user name or password are required.
4. Click Verify Database Connection. When the Data Source connection is accepted, the remaining drop-down boxes on this screen will be populated.
5. In the Key Database Fields section, select the following options:

   Source table/ view name	Mobiles
   Telephone number column	Telephone
   Unique key column	Contact_ID

6. Click OK

The system will then register the new campaign, and it will appear in the list of campaigns with a State of stopped.
