If you are building the STG hardware yourself, rather than taking a pre-configured system from Sytel, we strongly recommend that you follow the procedures described in Sytel's Telephony Server Build Specification.
Sytel have validated STG with Aculab telephony hardware, but any compatible telephony hardware may be used. When working with telephony cards, it is vital that you strictly adhere to the manufacturer's installation and handling procedures to ensure that the hardware warranty is not invalidated.
For the purposes of this user guide, we are using the Aculab telephony cards to explain the configuration procedures. The steps required will be similar for other telephony hardware but the manufacturer's documentation should be consulted.
Installation of the Softdial Contact Center™ system installs both the Aculab driver software and the STG software.
